I'm Mary McCawley..digital art curator, creative strategist, and the founder of Kansas City's first digital art gallery.
I opened Digital Dreams KC in 2024 because the city I came home to didn't have one yet. It was a bold experiment that taught me a vital lesson: the technology was ready, but the education wasn't. Most people didn't yet know how to collect digital art — and that gap between innovation and adoption became my driving focus.
For artists and creatives, I now offer curation and exhibition opportunities, strategic consulting on digital art adoption, and collector education programming that bridges the distance between makers and the audiences ready to find them. Whether you're an emerging digital artist looking for your first exhibition, or a brand navigating the intersection of art, AI, and Web3 — I help close that gap.
I've since taken that mission global — curating at Art Miami, building artist communities at Blackdove, and developing programs like Screen // Seen at the Kansas City Artists Coalition that give digital artists clear, public pathways to museum presentation.
The work is still the same: make digital art impossible to ignore.
